Wordical Productions Filming Department now adding short film, “Selfish Sacrifice” to their repertoire! While still working on the comedy series, “Try’na Make A Change”, the same producers have begun a short 5-minute film project which will be submitted into festivals. Filming will take place in a week and will only last one day. We should be seeing this incredible short film up on You Tube within about a month! With R-jay at the head of film operations, Wordical is moving forward with fire!
Again, with no sleep, much rehearsal, and countless hours of hard work, filming is almost complete for Episode Two of “Try’na Make a Change”! A very special THANK YOU to all the extras who worked with us on the BBQ scene! You all were sooooo incredible! Since midnight Friday night and working through eggs, bacon, donuts, and BBQ ribs and potato salad – with plenty of coffee and sugar – we watched the sun rise as lighting was set and cameras were rolling! As the sun pierced through the windows – we placed up sheets and blankets to compensate for the lighting needed or not needed for our very professional film crew! The scene became humid and very trying with bloopers and a very tired crowd of people – BUT – WE DID IT! At the “WRAP” we pigged out on BBQ ribs, potato salad, cakes and pies - and as the cool of the evening creeped in, fried chicken was added to the large trays of food available for the actors and crew. WHAT A DAY IT WAS! At the end of the day, I saw many passed out with full bellies and smiles of satisfaction knowing we completed the shot we needed to! Beautiful work guys! BEAUTIFUL!
Much thanks to Sam and Victor of Zero Budget Productions and Roderick of Shazark Video Entertainment as well as the tremendous work of the actors/actress for making Episode One of “Try’na Make a Change” a huge success! After eight hours of rehearsal and 11 hours of filming, countless hours of ABSOLUTELY NO SLEEP – episode one is a WRAP!
Thank you R-Jay, Jessica, Andrew, and Joshua for your tremendous patience as the film crew worked lighting and sound to make the scenes professional. To Chauncy, Manny, LaTajanae, Ben, and Tatyana – your help on the set was so greatly appreciated! To the extra background actresses, you did amazingly wonderful! Every scene was completed in a professional manner and so far we are ON SCHEDULE! (ok – so this is the first episode – but still – we are on schedule and that is AWESOME!).
The music of Pop/R&B artist Malon Dane will be featured on the You Tube series, “Try’na Make a Change”. With his music writing being influenced by a complex mixture of Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, Brian Littrell of Backstreet Boys, JC Chasez of N’Sync, Usher and Babyface to name a few, Marlon Dane’s tracks have plenty of soul, kick, and funk to make them get stuck in anyone’s head! Written, produced and sung by Marlon, he definitely gives his songs a unique aura of sincerity and passion that can only come from within! Check him out in an upcoming episode and also at his website: http://www.marlondane.com/index.html
“Try’na Make a Change” has finally reached the area of production where we are now about to start filming our first episode! All actors/actresses are ready and we are all excited! Not only do we have Zero Budget Productions on board, now Shazark Video Entertainment (Roderick Sharpe, Sr.) has jumped on as an addition to the camera crew. LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Don’t miss the special guest appearance of “Fusse”, an incredible band of 4 musician/singers with an indie label and their own sound! Andres, Javier, Hector, and Ryan combine together with Matt Carroll as their producer putting out the sounds of “Fusse” – a band that is moving up fast! Already well known in San Diego, “Fusse” plays in many venues and is currently supported by growing waves of fans numbered in the thousands!
It was definitely our pleasure to meet with the band and hear a portion of their performance as well as discuss their guest appearance in the You Tube series. We are all excited to see this band do their thing! We know the audience will be impressed with their style and skills. Look out for them around the 2nd episode and check out their music and video performances on the following website: http://www.myspace.com/fusseband
